São Paulo prosecutor Cassio Conserino says he has received the Ernst & Young report and the Alvarez & Marsal contract tied to Corinthians. The 2024-25 consultancy documents will be analysed and could guide next steps.

"The document was received, it will be analysed in due course and will probably underpin a forthcoming measure by the Public Prosecutor," he said. "It points to non-conformities and irregularities, as does the Alvarez & Marsal document. Both are important and reflect the club’s administrative disorganisation," he told Blog do Macedo.

EY began in 2024 reviewing contracts from the Andrés Sanchez and Duilio Monteiro Alves administrations. The file was first sought in March and may intersect with criminal probes into club spending and possible tax issues. After the club missed deadlines, prosecutors obtained it directly from the firm last week.

The case is with the Patrimônio Público e Social unit led by Luiz Ambra Neto, which is running a civil inquiry into possible judicial intervention after the CSMP rejected the club’s appeal. "Those who will delve deeper into testimony are the Patrimônio Público Social team in the civil inquiry," Conserino said.

The office also holds the Alvarez & Marsal contract, which set a monthly fee of R$ 300,000 for consultancy and diagnostics. Signed in July 2024, it was due to run until December 2026, though the partnership ended in April last year.

Material was sought amid signs of irregularities with possible tax impact. In April the office asked the Federal Revenue to examine the club’s finances, with debt estimated at R$ 2.7 billion.
