Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly paid €3.3m to Braga to gain first refusal on Mario Dorgeles, edging ahead of Premier League interest.
Foot Mercato reports that this is not a transfer or a loan, but a priority clause placing PSG at the front of the queue if Braga decide to sell.
Details appeared in Braga’s latest financial accounts, with the arrangement granting PSG a privileged position over 100% of the player’s economic and sporting rights in any future deal.
The 22-year-old joined in summer 2025 from Nordsjaelland for €11.5m after emerging from the Right to Dream academy, and delivered 7 goals and 4 assists in 39 matches last season.
His involvement has been more limited early in 2026-27, but his stock remains high. PSG’s move is designed to avoid being priced out or beaten to his signature later.
Arsenal and Chelsea tracked him in Denmark, with Newcastle United and Brighton also credited with interest, which helps explain the urgency.
Qatar Sports Investments own 29.6% of Braga as the second-largest shareholder, a relationship that enables complex arrangements without mandating player movement.
Dorgeles remains in Portugal for now. The £2.9m outlay does not guarantee a transfer, but it gives PSG a safety net.
