PSG ‘to sign’ Ferran Torres for around 50 million euros, Valencia set for solidarity boost | OneFootball

Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are tying up the final details of Ferran Torres’s transfer, a move that would also deliver Valencia a useful windfall.

Fabrizio Romano reports that PSG have reached a preliminary agreement with Barcelona to sign the 26-year-old for a fixed fee close to 50 million euros.

Torres gave his approval to leave in recent days. Barcelona were unable to meet his financial demands for a renewal of a deal that runs until June 2027.

In Paris he would reunite with Luis Enrique, the coach who first called him into Spain’s senior side. The former national manager has been the PSG figure driving the pursuit.

As his formative club, Valencia are due around 1.6 million euros via FIFA’s solidarity mechanism, with the sum rising if agreed performance bonuses are triggered. Torres spent his academy years at Valencia between the ages of 12 and 20.

That expected windfall should help Valencia finalise business over the next two weeks, addressing needs at right-back, goalkeeper or winger. Arnau Martínez is among the options at right-back.
