PSV are moving to sign Danjuma from Valencia, with the forward pushing for an exit after he was not promised a starting role. He barely featured in the second half of last season due to form.

Cadena Ser reports that Danjuma has told Valencia PSV are willing to pay his 6 million euros release clause after the club declined to negotiate a sale.

Valencia only acquired 50 per cent of his rights in the last window, so Villarreal would receive the other half of any clause payment.

PSV have not yet contacted Valencia directly, with the player driving the process to secure a move.

If completed, the deal would give Valencia 3 million euros to reinvest and remove a major salary, easing the club’s Financial Fair Play margins.

Should he depart, Valencia would need a mobile attacker who can operate as a nine, drift wide or play off the main striker.
