Valencia’s late window push for Arnau Martínez could be complicated by a fresh issue, with Arnaut Danjuma weighing an exit after interest from PSV and Ajax, according to AS.
After a solid pre-season, the forward fears he will not have the prominence he expected under Carlos Corberán. He senses a reduced role, similar to the end of last season, and is contemplating leaving Mestalla.
As it stands, Valencia are not considering his departure. The Dutchman could be important if he reaches the levels of early last term.
Corberán will not guarantee minutes to Danjuma or anyone, insisting places must be earned on the pitch. The relationship between player and head coach is viewed as positive, reinforced by the backing he received last season.
There have been no firm offers, even though PSV and Ajax may have him on a shortlist. Valencia believe his representatives are agitating the market and do not expect a bid, so the likeliest scenario is he stays to compete.
A sale could ease the wage bill but would leave the project short, since another attacker would be needed. Finding a similar profile who also fits the budget is seen as difficult.
Danjuma joined last summer on a free from Villarreal on a sizeable salary, signing through June 2028. His future is currently uncertain.
