MIAMI – The Final Round of the 2025 Concacaf Women’s U-17 Qualifiers continued Tuesday with the opening matches in Group B.

Puerto Rico was victorious against Panama, while Canada got off to a winning start against Nicaragua.

Puerto Rico 6, Panama 1

Puerto Rico opened the day earning a 6-1 win against Panama at Estadio Nacional in Managua, Nicaragua.

Giselle Falcón handed Puerto Rico the lead in the 1’ with the fastest goal thus far in the Final Round.

Gabriella Garnett then secured a hat-trick in a span of five minutes, scoring in the 16’, 20’ and 21’ to extend the lead for Las Boricuas with two long range strikes and a tap in.

Panama shortened the deficit in the 26’ through an own goal from Puerto Rico’s Paige Foye, following a corner kick opportunity.

Falcón tallied her second goal of the match in the 47’, sending the ball to the back of the net with a left-footed finish to the near post.

Puerto Rico’s win was rounded out in the 70’ with a hit from outside the box from captain Camila Adame.

Canada 5, Nicaragua 0

The second Group B match featured a 5-nil win for Canada over Nicaragua at Estadio Nacional in Managua, Nicaragua.

Canada found the breakthrough goal in the 18’ through a powerful right footed shot from inside the box by Lacey Kindel.

Melisa Kekic secured the second for The Reds in the 34’ after picking up a loose ball inside the box and scoring at the far post.

Kaylee Hunter further extended the lead for Canada in the 41’ with a left footed hit to the bottom right corner from long distance.

Kellyane Dumas, with a finish from the center of the penalty area in the 49’, and Emma Donnelly, with a long range strike to the top left corner in the 90+4’, closed out the win for Canada.
