FLW's QPR fan pundit believes that Karamoko Dembélé can grown into one of the club's standout players next season

Queens Park Rangers signed Karamoko Dembélé on loan from French club Stade Brest for this season.
The move was made permanent in September 2024, following an impressive start to the 2024/25 campaign.
A knee injury in November required surgery and left the 22-year-old sidelined until February, which limited his impact for the rest of the term. The Hoops ultimately finished 15th, and the playmaker never managed to recapture his early-season form.
Football League World’s QPR fan pundit, Louis Moir, is excited to see what the future holds for Dembélé at Loftus Road.
“I like Dembélé a lot,” stated Louis. “I think we're certainly the right club for him in terms of his development.
“We can put him on the right track in terms of his trajectory in football. It started really high and tailed off after suffering injuries. He found his feet at Blackpool and then came to QPR. He's been far from the finished product, but he's still only 22.
“Last season, in his first few games, he was absolutely excellent. I couldn't fault him at all. I was there for Sheffield United away, and I remember that day he was arguably the best player on the pitch.
“He has got tonnes of ability. He suffered quite a big injury, came back and was then in and out of the side. We had a striker injury crisis and Marti Cifuentes tried to play him up front, which did not work. Then it was hard for him to become consistent, but he played a fair bit towards the end of the season.
“I was disappointed in a way because you watch him and expect so much more. Next season is a clean slate for everyone, but especially for players like him, under a new manager who can get him firing.
“Signing him on a permanent deal, you can't complain. At just 22 years of age, he still has an abundance of ability and potential. I'd like to see him more in a No.10 role because I think he's better in that position.
“I wouldn't class him as an out-and-out winger, but he’s great at picking the ball up in tight spaces and making things happen. He could be a big, big player for us and I've got my fingers crossed that he can show that ability.”
At just 22 years of age, the playmaker still has the majority of his playing days ahead of him.
His bright start at QPR was quelled by injury woes, so Dembélé will be determined to recapture that form next term.
His potential has been well documented since his days in Celtic’s academy, earning comparisons to Lionel Messi during his development.
When fit, Dembélé wowed the crowds at Loftus Road with his obvious talent and ability.
Should he stay available for a large portion of the 46 Championship games next term, the youngster could become one of QPR’s most important operators.
