Rachid Kouda set to leave Spezia

The future of Rachid Kouda is coming into focus. The 23-year-old midfielder of Burkinabè descent is set to cut short his second loan spell at Spezia to return to Parma, his parent club, before being sent out on loan once again—this time to Mantova.

According to Il Secolo XIX, Parma has decided to reposition the player after considering several options. Mantova ultimately managed to reach an agreement, beating out Avellino and Virtus Entella, who were also interested in the Italian midfielder's profile.

Parma signed Kouda last January from Spezia for a reported fee of €4 million, before immediately loaning him back to his former club. This season in Serie B, he has featured in 15 matches, scoring once and providing an assist. His spell at Mantova is expected to give him more playing time and help reignite his development.
