Rafael Leao remains at the centre of the window, with a face-to-face with Gerry Cardinale planned to clarify his situation, Sky Sport reports. RedBird Capital's chief, whose fund controls AC Milan, is said to have requested talks to address past remarks and the way forward.
Leao, who missed the friendly in Poland against Manchester United with muscle fatigue, still appears likely to depart, but only if conditions are met. The price to buy out his registration has fallen from €55-60 million to €45 million, and there are currently no offers. There are said to have been approaches from an Italian club, Fiorentina have been ruled out, and he is said to be closing the door on Serie A for now.
Galatasaray remain a genuine option. After Gabriel Martinelli said no, with the player set to leave Arsenal but unwilling to move to Türkiye, Leao has again become a priority despite the arrival of attacking midfielder Aleksej Batrakov from Lokomotiv Moscow for 25 million.
The Super Lig champions are unwilling to exceed their latest offer of 35 million plus bonuses, believing Milan may soften their stance as the deadline nears. The window in Türkiye closes on 4 September.
A five-year contract worth €10-12 million net per season is ready for Leao.
