Mallorca captain Antonio Raíllo has asked to be included for the match against Athletic, despite his recent injuries. A decision on his involvement will be taken between the player, the medical staff and the coach.

As reported by as.com, Raíllo fractured his cheekbone on six December against Real Oviedo and spent the night in a hospital in Asturias.

He underwent surgery in Palma the following day, then played on 13 December against Elche wearing a protective mask. He kept the mask on for the 19 December trip to Mestalla to face Valencia.

After the Christmas break he again featured in a mask versus Girona at Son Moix. Three days later, on seven January, he suffered a dislocation of the clavicle in training and sat out the visit to Vallecas to play Rayo.

The initial prognosis sidelined him for two to three weeks. Even so, he has pushed to make the squad for Athletic, pending that joint assessment.
