Rangers, who were expected to announce Couhaib Driouech’s move from PSV Eindhoven today, may face a delay in confirming the winger’s arrival, with sources close to the forward revealing that the paperwork has yet to be finalised.

Derek McInnes is set to receive another major boost, with Rangers closing in on their tenth signing of the summer as Driouech prepares to join the club.

The Moroccan attacker is poised to become the third addition to the frontline, following the arrivals of Daisuke Yokota and Lawrence Shankland.

Rangers and PSV have agreed a fee for the winger, who has already travelled to Glasgow to complete his medical.

The deal is understood to be worth €8m, with the Gers beating competition from Celta Vigo, Colorado Rapids and Red Bull Salzburg for the 24-year-old’s signature.

Driouech has already expressed his excitement at moving to Ibrox, having heard good stories about the club ahead of his expected switch.

An announcement had been expected shortly after his scheduled medical today, although Rangers may now have to wait a little longer before making the move official.

According to Dutch journalist Joost Blaauwhof, the announcement confirming Driouech as a Rangers player could be delayed.

Sources close to the forward have indicated that the paperwork surrounding his transfer to Ibrox has not yet been finalised, prompting the delay.

The 24-year-old forward is expected to sign a four-year contract once his medical is completed, keeping him in Glasgow until 2030.

The Light Blues have endured a difficult start to their domestic campaign, drawing their opener before losing their second game, and will be hoping the Moroccan attacker can help turn their fortunes around.

Rangers ended last season without silverware and will be determined to ensure that disappointment does not carry into the new campaign.
