Rangers are amongst four clubs to be showing interest in La Liga 2 winger Kim Min-su, who is on the books at Girona.
Derek McInnes’ poor start to life as Rangers boss continued on Thursday evening as the Gers were dumped out of the Europa League by Polish outfit Jagiellonia.
The former Aberdeen manager is targeting further signings before the transfer window closes, with PSV Eindhoven winger Couhaib Driouech expected to be confirmed as a new arrival soon.
Japanese wide-man Daisuke Yokota recently added to McInnes’ options on the flank, but even with Driouech landed, Rangers want more.
According to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, Rangers have begun to explore a swoop for Girona’s Kim.

The Scottish giants are one of four clubs, with Ajax, Fenerbahce and Lyon also in the mix, to be looking closely at the winger.
Kim, 20, spent last term away from Girona on loan at Andorra, where he featured on a regular basis in the Spanish second tier, La Liga 2.
With Girona having been relegated from La Liga, Kim will have another season in the Segunda Division if he stays put at the club.
It is unclear how much Girona might demand in order to let Kim move on this summer.

Rangers though face substantial competition for the South Korean’s signature, with Ajax, Fenerbahce and Lyon all heavyweight opponents.
Kim may also note the struggles currently at Rangers, who will not be able to offer Europa League football and must now focus on the Conference League.
Rangers will face Czech side Jablonec in the Conference League playoff round as they look to ensure there is continued European football at Ibrox this term.
