Rangers are aiming to secure another win as they welcome Motherwell to Ibrox Stadium in Glasgow this Saturday.
Rangers come into this match in strong domestic shape, pushing for a third straight league victory. Their early-season results were inconsistent, but Derek McInnes’s team has now hit a good run, first edging past Aberdeen (1-0) in a tough contest and then producing an impressive display to beat Falkirk 2-1. The upturn in results has been driven largely by striker Lawrence Shankland, who has scored all three of Rangers’ most recent goals and helped lift the club higher in the Premiership table ahead of this weekend’s fixture.
The Rangers squad is full of confidence after back-to-back league wins against Aberdeen and Falkirk, with much of that momentum coming from the outstanding performances of summer arrival Lawrence Shankland.
With the transfer window now shut, McInnes is keen to bring his late deadline-day signings into the matchday picture.
Among them are powerful forward Kevin Kelsy and lively wide player Badredine Bouanani, both of whom have been training with the first team and are expected to be available for selection.
On the other hand, the manager will need to adjust his midfield options after Thelo Aasgaard’s recent loan move to Anderlecht, which took place late in the window.
Possible Rangers starting XI: Pandur; Nedeljkovic, Fernandez, Makhanya, Penrice; Raskin, Devlin; Curtis, Kim, Gassama; Shankland
The match will kick off at 3pm BST on Saturday, 5th September.
The Rangers vs Motherwell clash at Ibrox on Saturday will not be shown live on television in the UK, as it is scheduled during the traditional 3:00 PM Saturday broadcasting blackout.
