Corinthians faces São Paulo this Sunday afternoon (18), at Neo Química Arena, for the third round of the 2026 Campeonato Paulista. The teams went into halftime with a partial score of 1-0 for São Paulo.

As he left the field, Raniele spoke with TNT Sports and analyzed the team's performance in the first half, highlighting a specific marking error and the need for adjustments for the second half.

“What went wrong was that in a chance we gave them to keep possession, to move the ball around, we couldn’t press, and they ended up scoring. That’s what happens in a derby, a team can’t slip up for even a second. We have to try to improve our pressing even more, which I think is good, and try to be more precise in the final third and make better decisions so we can score from a play,” said the player.

After the break, Corinthians returns to the field looking to correct defensive mistakes and improve offensive efficiency to try to overturn the result against their rival.

After facing São Paulo at home in the Paulistão, Corinthians remains focused on the state tournament. Next Thursday (22), at 7:30 p.m. (Brasília time), the Alvinegro will go to Vila Belmiro to face Santos, for the fourth round of the first phase of the competition.
