Barcelona have begun the 2026/27 campaign spectacularly, and Raphinha is at the centre of their remarkable goalscoring start.

Hansi Flick’s side have won all three of their La Liga matches so far, scoring 12 goals in the process.

Notably, Raphinha has contributed five of them, putting the Brazilian at the top of Barcelona’s scoring charts after the opening three matchdays.

The Barcelona captain has scored in every league match so far, having struck twice against Elche, found the net once against Athletic Club and added another brace against Rayo Vallecano.

Five goals in three games is an outstanding start in its own right, and Barcelona’s history suggests it could become something even more significant.

As reported by Mundo Deportivo, Raphinha is now approaching a record that has been achieved by only a handful of players in the club’s history.

Raphinha enters exclusive Barcelona goalscoring company

Barcelona have had 13 players who have scored in each of the first three matchdays of a season, but the list becomes considerably shorter when the streak extends beyond that point.

Only three players have managed to score across the opening four matchdays.

Ladislao Kubala achieved the feat in 1953/54, scoring eight goals, while Cayetano Re followed in 1964/65, scoring five.

Cesc Fabregas was the most recent Barcelona player to reach four consecutive matchdays, doing so at the beginning of the 2011/12 campaign.

The five-match list is even more exclusive.

Cesar Rodriguez scored eight goals across five consecutive matchdays in 1950/51.

Furthermore, Zlatan Ibrahimovic matched the feat in 2009/10, scoring five goals against Sporting, Getafe, Atletico Madrid, Racing Santander and Malaga.

He also became the first La Liga debutant to score in five consecutive matches from the beginning of a Barcelona campaign.

Raphinha now has the chance to join that group.

Raphinha has everything to back him

The Brazilian’s form has helped Barcelona produce an attacking output that stands out even against the club’s traditionally high standards.

An impressive return of 12 goals in three La Liga games is an average of four goals per match. More importantly, the goals have been spread across several players, making Barcelona difficult to contain.

The next matchday therefore carries an additional storyline for Raphinha, as one more goal would take him into the small group of players who have scored across the first four league matches.

Another after that would put him among Barcelona’s five-match scorers.
