According to L'Équipe, Rassoul Ndiaye has become a key figure for Le Havre under Didier Digard, with Metz visiting on Sunday at 17:15. The Senegal midfielder is the club’s second most decisive player this season.
Signed from Sochaux in July 2023, his influence has risen steadily. He was benched for lateness in the 0-0 reverse fixture on 28 September, then brought on.
His display in the 1-1 draw at Angers on 18 April showcased it. He contested 16 duels and made seven tackles, both highs for HAC.
He started eleven times last term, now 27 in 2025-2026, and is among 12 to have featured in every game. Despite a training knock this week he will play. With four goals and three assists, he trails only Issa Soumaré, who has six and three.
Digard says Ndiaye links defence and attack, combines forward thrust with technique, and can improve further given his age, adding that perhaps the player had set his own limits. Those limits have been pushed back.
This season he leads HAC for ball recoveries, tackles and passes in the final third, and ranks fifth in the league for high-intensity presses. Gautier Lloris calls him kind and upbeat, someone team-mates want to fight for.
With six months left, he extended on 16 January to 2028. He says he promised Mathieu Bodmer not to leave without giving back, thanking Le Havre for taking him from Sochaux when others waited. The renewal should help a club with tight finances secure a sale.
