Peter Gulácsi’s RB Leipzig future remains unresolved, with his contract up in the summer of 2026 and no extension agreed. He is said to want clarity soon. Both sides are open to continuing beyond the summer.

Bild claims that sporting director Marcel Schäfer intends to begin talks with the 35-year-old during January’s training camp.

If no agreement follows, suitors are said to be ready to move, with several Premier League, Serie A and Bundesliga clubs thought to have him on their shortlists.

From 1 January the goalkeeper can legally negotiate with other clubs without Leipzig’s consent. He has 7 clean sheets in 15 Bundesliga games this season.

Keeping him would suit Leipzig given that form, but Marten Vandervoort is also pushing to become first choice.
