Sky Germany reports that RB Leipzig plan to open talks with David Raum over a new contract as his current deal runs down.
Raum’s agreement is due to expire at the end of the season. Leipzig are keen to keep the 28-year-old.
Salary is viewed as a potential sticking point. The left-back is said to be the club’s second-highest earner, behind only Lukas Klostermann, and may need to adjust his demands to fit a revised wage structure, the report said.
Whether an agreement can be reached remains unclear, with Barcelona and Juventus recently linked with the Germany international.
Raum joined Leipzig from TSG Hoffenheim in 2022 for a reported €26 million fee.
