Sebastian Kehl (in the mixed zone): “It was a top game for everyone involved. Both teams contributed to that. I think it’s great how the team reacted after Wednesday’s game. It shows that we’ve processed it well. In the end, this game probably didn’t deserve a winner. It’s a shame we didn’t get a point here because we put in a really good performance overall.”

Nico Schlotterbeck (on Sky): “It was an all-in game for us. You can’t accuse us of not doing enough. We tried everything, but unfortunately we didn’t manage to get it done. In the end, Bayern scored one more goal. It was very, very slight contact (for the penalty, ed.). Of course, we would have liked to have had a penalty too. It’s just annoying to lose here. It looks like we’ve lost our captain as well. It just didn’t work out today.”

Daniel Svensson (in the mixed zone): “It was a close game, an exciting game. It’s disappointing to lose. Small differences decided the game. Of course, they scored one more goal than us, but overall I think the game was evenly matched, it was exciting. I got a good ball from Sabi and then just tried to strike it in (about his goal to make it 2-2, ed.). It was a good goal. But ultimately, the only thing that counts is that we get points for the team, and today we didn’t get any.”

Gregor Kobel (on Sky): “It was the little things that made the difference. In the end, we were centimetres away (from the penalty with Harry Kane, ed.). Today, they (Bayern) showed extreme quality in front of goal. We put up a great fight. We gave everything. We tried to get the fans behind us, to be physical, to make it difficult for them. We managed to do that for a long time, but in the end they are just very, very good in front of goal – that’s frustrating and incredibly painful.”
