Real Betis complete move for Man Utd's Antony | OneFootball

Another remnant of the Erik ten Hag era at Old Trafford is off to greener pastures, with Real Betis completing their move for Brazilian international winger Antony.

The 25-year-old rejoins the Andalucian outfit in a full deal worth £25m that includes a 50% sell-on clause, with the Red Devils taking a massive hit on their investment that saw them splash over £80m on the former Ajax starlet in the summer of 2022.

Despite great expectations, Antony struggled to adjust to life at the Theatre of Dreams, but would receive a second bite at the apple when he secured a loan move to Betis during the second half of the 2024-25 season.

There, Antony came alive, bagging nine goals in 26 appearances across all competitions while being a key catalyst in Verdiblancos' march to the Europa Conference League final.

With Betis already in and around the fight for the European places in the opening weeks of the new La Liga season, Antony's arrival will be seen as a vital boost to their chances across domestic and European play, with Betis set to take part in the Europa League.
