Real Betis set to open contract talks with defensive pair | OneFootball

The board at La Liga outfit Real Betis are planning to send contract renewal offers to two important members of Manuel Pellegrini’s defensive ranks.

The Verdiblancos pair in question? Héctor Bellerín, and Marc Bartra.

Experienced defenders Bellerín and Bartra have both continued to play leading roles for Real Betis over the early weeks of the new term.

En route to a spot in 3rd in the La Liga table, the former has played his part in all seven of his side’s fixtures, with ex-Barcelona man Bartra having notched five appearances.

With both due to see their contract terms in Seville expire next summer, it should in turn come as little surprise to learn of plans being put in place to renew their respective deals.

As per a report from journalist Matteo Moretto of Marca:

‘Héctor Bellerín and Marc Bartra’s contracts with Betis are set to expire in 2027, but before the year is out, the parties will sit down to negotiate the renewal.

‘The club is very satisfied with the performance of both, and the players want to stay with Betis.’
