This summer’s International Champions Cup has officially been cancelled, meaning there will be no Clásico in America.
A statement was made by the ICC and Relevent Sports Group on Friday.
According to AS, the ICC was set to host a Clásico between Real Madrid and Barcelona this summer.
The two sides met in the US for the first time in 2017 and negotiations had reportedly started for a pre-season clash in Las Vegas this summer.
A cancellation hits the clubs financially, too, with the report adding the two clubs are set to miss out on €15m with potential ICC fixtures cancelled.
