In a recent report, Fichajes stated that Real Madrid are keeping tabs on Bayer 04 Leverkusen forward Christian Kofane. It is believed that Los Blancos are monitoring the progress of the Cameroonian talent at the German club ahead of a potential move for him this year.

Kofane’s Impressive Rise In German Football

Kofane has caught the eye at times with his performances as the focal point of Leverkusen’s attack this season. The Cameroonian sensation has scored five goals and earned five assists in 24 matches for the German outfit in this campaign on all fronts.

The 19-year-old has led the line well and deserves credit for averaging 3.47 shots per 90 minutes in the Bundesliga. He has kept 47.8% of his attempts on target. Kofane has even been accurate when distributing possession in the final third, as evidenced by his pass completion rate of 84.9% in the top tier of German football (stats via fbref.com).

His current contract at the German club will expire in the summer of 2029. Hence, it won’t be easy for Los Blancos to sign him on the cheap this year.

Real Madrid Are Keeping Tabs On Kofane: Is He A Prospect For The Future?

Kofane is proficient at finding some space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has got the vision to create a few promising chances for his teammates in the final third and is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet.

The Cameroonian talent has proven his worth by scoring and creating his fair share of goals up top. However, it remains to be seen whether he can replicate his good form in La Liga if Real Madrid manage to snap him up this year.

We can expect Kofane to enhance the quality of Los Blancos head coach Alvaro Arbeloa’s attack in the long run. He is more than capable of fighting for regular first-team football at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in the coming seasons.

At 19, the future looks quite bright for Kofane as long as he continues to improve with each season. He will also help the Madrid giants compete for some major honours over the next decade. Kofane is undoubtedly a prospect to watch out for in the future, so Arbeloa should focus on stepping up his efforts to land him.
