Real Madrid continue to map out their transfer strategy with clarity and patience, and one of the names now entering the conversation is Alexis Mac Allister.
The Liverpool midfielder has been linked with a potential move to Madrid, with reports from AS suggesting that the idea of playing at the Santiago Bernabeu holds strong appeal for the Argentine.
While the interest is still at an early stage, it remains in line with Real Madrid’s objective of reinforcing their midfield for the future.
Internally, strengthening the centre-back position remains a priority, but adding depth and quality in midfield is also on the agenda.
With Nico Paz expected to return from his spell at Como, Madrid will already have an additional option, but there is a growing sense that he may not be the only arrival in that area.
That said, Real Madrid are not planning to rush into any decisions.
In fact, there is no intention to make excessive financial commitments, particularly for midfield reinforcements.

Instead, the focus is on identifying the right opportunity at the right price.
This is where Mac Allister’s situation becomes relevant. His contract with Liverpool runs until 2028, and as things stand, there have been no concrete steps taken towards a renewal.
While that does not immediately open the door for a transfer, it creates a scenario that Madrid will continue to monitor closely.
If the player does not extend his contract in the near future, his market value could gradually decrease, potentially bringing him within a more acceptable financial range. Until then, a move remains complicated.
Another factor that could influence Madrid’s final decision is what unfolds over the coming months.
Performances at club level, as well as international tournaments such as the upcoming World Cup, will play a role in establishing recruitment priorities.
For now, Mac Allister represents an interesting profile, but as with many of Real Madrid’s transfer targets, the club is in no hurry.
