Real Madrid have faced a lot of flak on social media and from experts across the footballing fraternity for their decision to sack Xabi Alonso.
In addition to sacking Alonso, the club have also made a series of changes to the support staff, including the return of Antonio Pintus
It appears the club are keen on removing any connection to the staff formerly held by Alonso and are geared up for a complete makeover.
According to Guillermo Rai, Real Madrid have relieved their set-piece specialist Jesus Rueda of his duties, in yet another major move within the support staff.
Although Rueda has been relieved of his duties, he has not been completely sacked by the club.
Instead, the Spaniard will operate in a different role within the organisation. He remains at the club as an analyst.

It must be noted that Rueda was not among the marquee staff inside the Real Madrid support team, as he did not operate in a direct coaching role for either Xabi Alonso or now Alvaro Arbeloa.
But Rueda’s restructuring suggests Real Madrid are keen on getting rid of their set-piece problems, although the team has improved considerably in recent weeks.
In the most recent game against Levante, a curling cross from Arda Guler found Raul Asencio, who made no mistake in scoring the second goal of the night for Los Blancos.
In total, Real Madrid have scored eight goals from set-pieces this season, which is second-highest in the league, just behind Osasuna (10).
