As if Nico Paz lighting up the Serie A wasn’t enough, Real Madrid have found another gem on their hands this season in the form of Chema Andres.

The young Spanish midfielder has been on a sublime touch since joining VfB Stuffgart last summer. And although he is not contracted to Real Madrid anymore, the club retain 50% of the player’s transfer rights.

Moreover, Real Madrid have an option to buy Chema back next summer for a figure of just €13.5 million, which rises to €18 million in the summer of 2027.

In his first season in the Bundesliga, Chema has become a first-team regular for Stuttgart, impressing onlookers with his technical prowess and ability to win back possession.

The youngster has been so impressive that he has already benched Stuttgart superstar Atakan Karazor and sure enough, big European clubs are keeping tabs on the player, reports AS.

Real Madrid are ‘rubbing their hands’

The report also suggests that Real Madrid are ‘rubbing their hands’ with anticipation as they continue to monitor Chema’s progress.

It is no secret that Los Blancos are looking for a new midfielder – someone who can act as an alternative to Aurelien Tchouameni. And Chema is someone the club really like.

However, Real Madrid are in no hurry to make a decision and will continue to monitor his rapid progression at Stuttgart, before taking a firm decision.

Real Madrid have the option to either buy him back for just €13 million and cash out or they can retain the services of Chema and force him to fight for his place in the starting eleven next season.

The next few months, to that end, could prove to be crucial, though Chema, for his part, is in no hurry to make a decision on his future either.

Either way, the Spanish giants have found themselves a gem on their hands, whose value could skyrocket further as he continues to impress in the Bundesliga.
