According to Fabrice Hawkins, Real Madrid are set to make a new offer for Lille defender Leny Yoro (18) as the race for his signature intensifies. The La Liga club’s previous offer worth a total €30m with bonuses included was rebuffed by the Ligue 1 club.

Manchester United are also in the race to sign the 18-year-old. The Premier League club have had an offer of €62m accepted by Lille for the France U21 international, L’Équipe reports. United are pushing for Yoro to join them but the player still wishes to join Real Madrid and could even be willing to wait in order to get his move to the Spanish capital.

Yoro has one year left on his contract at the Stade Pierre Mauroy meaning he would be able to leave Lille as a free agent at the end of 2025. As a result, if the player was willing to wait a year he could sign for Madrid on a free transfer. However, Les Dogues have no intention of letting the Frenchman leave for free and are looking to complete a sale this summer.
