LaLiga published updated squad cost limits on Thursday. Real Madrid lead the table, Mourinho’s side at 832.7 million euros, a record, while Barcelona have climbed to 582.7 million.

The limit sets the maximum each club can spend on first-team salaries and signings, and also covers image rights, transfer amortisation, social security, severance, collective bonuses, agent-related acquisition costs, and spending on B teams and academies.
