Real Madrid ‘very serious’ about transfer deal with Barcelona also waiting in the wings | OneFootball

La Liga giants Real Madrid are serious about bringing Mexican sensation Gilberto Mora to the club.

That’s according to ESPN, who have on Monday provided an insight into the situation.

The name of youngster Mora has of course long emerged as a prominent one in the media headlines across Spain.

This comes with the 16-year-old’s remarkable performances on the club and international stages alike having begun to turn heads.

Despite his tender years, Mora has spent recent weeks lighting up the U20 World Cup, and has already been capped several times at senior level by Mexico.

With such remarkable achievements at such a young age comes inevitable interest from across the water, with Real Madrid and Barcelona having both been named amongst the clubs keeping a close eye on Mora with a view to the future.

And as alluded to above, early this week, a fresh insight into the situation has been provided.

As per a report from ESPN:

‘Real Madrid are very serious about Gil Mora. They are actively pursuing Gilberto Mora, and his strong performance at the U-20 World Cup has further confirmed their interest.

‘Barcelona have been monitoring his development for years, and a source admits to ESPN that the Xolos de Tijuana player “has very good potential and some really interesting characteristics.”

It is also noted, however, that neither club are ready to move forward with a deal for Mora as of yet.
