Real Madrid have decided not to entertain any offer under €15 million for Dani Ceballos this summer, according to a report from AS.
It is known that despite previous rumours suggesting the club could settle for less, Madrid are standing firm on their valuation of the midfielder, who still has a contract until 2027.
Ceballos’ situation is once again taking centre stage this summer. His future in Madrid remains far from certain, and while no official transfer request has been made, hints are beginning to surface.
One such hint came through social media. The Spanish midfielder recently posted an Instagram story from his final solo training session before returning to Valdebebas, using the song “Free, free I want to be…”.
Whether it was a subtle message or just a coincidence, it has certainly stirred conversations.

The two had a moment of tension during the World Cup, when Ceballos challenged Xabi to explain his plans for him in person. That meeting could now be crucial in determining whether he stays or leaves.
Meanwhile, Real Betis, Ceballos’ former club, remain interested in bringing him back. The 28-year-old has never hidden his affection for the Seville-based side, saying: “Betis is my home and always will be.”
However, despite that connection, Betis currently don’t have the financial muscle to meet Madrid’s asking price, especially when factoring in his hefty wages.
Initially, Real Madrid valued the midfielder at €20 million, but have since lowered the figure to €15 million.
Even so, unless Ceballos formally demands an exit, the club have no intention of letting him leave for anything less.
Their stance is also based on practical concerns that selling him would mean finding a replacement in an inflated transfer market.
