The Administrative Court for Sport (TAD) has dismissed Real Madrid’s appeal regarding Dean Huijsen’s suspension, upholding the decisions already taken by the RFEF’s Disciplinary Committee and Appeals Committee earlier this week, confirms Mundo Deportivo.
As such, the 20-year-old defender is definitely ruled out of Saturday’s La Liga game against RCD Espanyol, and has already been left out of the squad list.
Huijsen was sent off with a straight red card during the match against Real Sociedad last weekend, with referee Jesus Gil Manzano noting in his report that the player “brought down an opponent, denying an obvious goal-scoring opportunity.”
With the Referees’ Technical Committee (CTA) admitting that the straight red card was an error, Real Madrid appealed to the RFEF Disciplinary Committee but were faced with failure.

Following that, the Merengues took the matter to the Appeals Committee, only to see their plea get rejected.
As a result, Real Madrid had submitted an appeal to the Administrative Court for Sport this morning, including the explanatory video released by the CTA admitting the error as evidence to support their case.
The Appeals Committee, on Thursday, highlighted in its resolution that the referee’s authority is not subject to appeal and that the CTA’s video did not undermine the content of the official report.
Now TAD has also sided with the previous rulings, meaning Real Madrid have exhausted all legal avenues.
