Real Sociedad hold fresh talks over deal for Brighton star | OneFootball

La Liga outfit Real Sociedad have this week kicked back into gear talks with Brighton & Hove Albion, over a potential deal for defender Igor.

That’s according to market insider Matteo Moretto, who has provided a fresh insight into the situation.

The name of stopper Igor has of course proven a prominent one in the headlines surrounding Real Sociedad for several weeks now.

This comes after widespread confirmation was forthcoming that, amid an ongoing search for reinforcements at the back, the 27-year-old had been identified as something of a priority target.

To date, negotiations with Brighton have failed to give rise to an agreement on the terms of a potential deal.

But as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media this week is anything to go by, La Real have not yet given up on bringing Igor to Anoeta.

As per a report from journalist Matteo Moretto:

‘Real Sociedad continue to negotiate for Igor from Brighton. In recent hours, the two clubs have held new discussions to try to make progress.’
