Real Sociedad now pushing to sign 20-year-old Barcelona talent | OneFootball

Opportunities at FC Barcelona will be hard to come by for the players that Hansi Flick does not fully trust this season. While some players will continue to shine and prove their worth if they have the manager’s trust, others might need to look for opportunities elsewhere.

In recent hours, the likes of Alejandro Balde and Jules Kounde have been linked to potential exits if the circumstances align or the right offer arrives. However, unlike those two, there is a certain full-back who seems to be a guarantee to leave this summer one way or another.

Hector Fort, aged just 20, does not seem to be high up on Flick’s list of key players this season. In fact, several players are currently ahead of him and that includes players who might not naturally be right-backs but are still considered guarantees for Flick.

Fortunately, there seems to be no shortage of interested in the 20-year-old defender. According to Mundo Deportivo, La Liga club Real Sociedad now seems to be interested in the player as well and is actively pushing for a way to make the transfer happen as well.

However, the report also states that Sociedad remains aware of Borussia Dortmund’s interest in acquiring Fort and acknowledge that it would a major obstacle for the Spanish side to overcome. As it stands, the Bundesliga side seems to be in a stronger position to sign the young full-back.

Barcelona, at the same time, already seem to have a valuation in mind for the player as well. Reportedly, the Catalan giants value him around €15-20 million, but would be willing to accept a lower bid if they can be given additional guarantees such as a 50% sell-on clause or potentially even a buy-back clause.

At this moment in time, however, there are no guarantees as to where the player will ultimately end up going. Still, knowing that there is some level of competition for his signature is good news for both the player and Barça as well.
