On the fifth day of the Audi Summer Tour, FC Bayern prepared for the final Audi Football Summit against Aston Villa (14:00 CEST Friday). Before the press conference and the final training session, the team gathered at their hotel in Hong Kong for a special team photo, while a number of other events with partners and the media had also been scheduled. fcbayern.com brings you an overview of Thursday’s events on the Audi Summer Tour.
President Herbert Hainer, his senior vice-president Professor Dr Dieter Mayer, and the two FCB Legends Giovane Élber and Roy Makaay attended an extraordinary fan event on the sunny rooftop terrace of the “Hungry Tiger & Hidden Dragon” restaurant in the heart of Hong Kong. 150 invited fans from across the region contributed to a fantastic atmosphere.
Captain Manuel Neuer, Luis Díaz, Josip Stanisić and head coach Vincent Kompany were guests of FC Bayern partner adidas. To begin with, the players and their coach had to demonstrate their teamwork by guessing the pictures that another person had to ‘draw’ on the back of the person guessing using their index finger. This was followed by a round of interviews in which they shared some insights on the topics of cuisine and the ‘Mia san mia’ spirit. Kompany shared a few thoughts on togetherness and life in general, before the invited guests were treated to an extraordinary autograph session to round off the event.
Following their photo and video shoots for FCB partner Audi, Nathaniel Brown, Jonathan Tah and Joshua Kimmich provided plenty of answers to questions from Asian fans on topics ranging from Audi, travel and football and, of course, personal matters. Content creator Chris Chang and former Bundesliga 2 player Xie Hui were also in attendance. Afterwards, in an interview format, the guests learnt all about the players’ views on the meaning of ‘Mia san mia’. The informative morning even revealed what sort of drivers Kimmich, Tah and Brown are.
Minjae Kim attended a meet-and-greet hosted by FCB partner SAP on Thursday. At the FC Bayern Store in Kai Tak Mall, the defender answered questions during a Q&A session with influencers and posed for photos and signed autographs for the 120 invited guests.
FC Bayern partner Allianz produced video messages for 120 staff members and customers featuring Tom Bischof and Germany international Aleksandar Pavlović. Afterwards, the two players took part in some light-hearted mini-games with the guests and took to the stage for a question-and-answer session.
At the team hotel, FCB partner Viessmann produced content for its Chinese social media channels with FC Bayern goalkeeper Jonas Urbig.
Sixty selected guests, invited by FCB partner Doppelherz, got to meet former world-class striker Roy Makaay, who spent lots of time chatting with them, posing for selfies and signing autographs.
As part of the Audi Summer Tour, our German “Match of Your Life” winners, who are accompanying FC Bayern on their tour, are participating in a special football programme in Hong Kong alongside the Chinese “Match of Your Life” winners. Konrad Laimer dropped by for a training session and various football challenges with Hong Kong FC, overseeing the session in his role as a member of the “Match of Your Life” jury. The Austrian passed on valuable tips and tricks to the participants for their game before taking plenty of time out for the winners during the subsequent meet-and-greet.
