Their last victory was a 2-0 home win over Vitória on 26 July. Since then they lost to Mirassol in the league, drew 0-0 with Santos, were beaten in the Copa do Brasil, then in Série A drew with Atlético-MG and Internacional and lost to Fluminense, Coritiba, Flamengo and Bahia.

The Belém side sit second-bottom on 23 points, with five wins, eight draws and 14 defeats, scoring 31 and conceding 45.

Santos are in good form, having won their last three away matches in the competition.

For the weekend, Santos have confirmed absences only for Neymar and Barreal due to muscle injuries, and Everton Cebolinha through suspension. New signing Philippe Coutinho could make his debut, as the midfielder should be registered in the CBF’s BID by Friday 18.
