According to L’Équipe, Rémy Descamps, 29, is set to extend his Olympique Lyonnais contract by two years, running to June 2029.
The goalkeeper arrived on a free from Nantes in summer 2024. He began this season as a starter and impressed before the signing of Dominik Greif, 28, after which he became Paulo Fonseca’s first-choice deputy.
Since the start of the 2025-26 campaign he has made 11 appearances for Lyon. He has featured regularly in the Europa League and started in the Coupe de France.
Descamps has kept seven clean sheets and conceded seven goals, with his only defeat a 3-1 loss at Stade Rennais last September.
Standing at 1.96m and a two-time French Cup winner, he is regarded as an important dressing-room presence and is well liked by his team-mates.
