Mkhitaryan’s contract runs out in June, with the club yet to make contact with the player’s agent.

Indeed, the 37-year-old is one of the five Nerazzurri stars with expiring contracts.

Stefan de Vrij, Francesco Acerbi, Matteo Darmian, and Yann Sommer are the remaining four.

However, their fates at Giuseppe Meazza appear to be sealed, with the Nerazzurri reluctant to offer them fresh terms.

Despite being in the autumn of his career, Henrikh Mkhitaryan remains a valuable asset for the Nerazzurri.

Indeed, Cristian Chivu has heavily relied on the former Manchester United and Roma star this season.

For context, Mkhitaryan has amassed 22 appearances in all competitions, racking up one goal and two assists.

Therefore, Inter are reportedly contemplating handing the experienced midfielder a short-term contract at the end of the season.
