Report: Julian Alvarez makes decision on his future amidst Chelsea interest | OneFootball

Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez has reportedly made a decision on his future amidst Chelsea interest coming in.

The Blues appear to be in the mix to sign the world class former Manchester City striker, but they are absolutely not alone.

Arsenal, PSG, and Barcelona are also mentioned as keen suitors, should he be available come the summer transfer window, as is expected to be the case.

Barcelona the preference

TEAMtalk report that Alvarez has made it clear to Barcelona that they are his first choice on his next move.

However, they say that due Barcelona’s transfer business is largely on hold while the club prepares for presidential elections on March 15, there are no guarantees a move to Barca will materialise.

But the report concludes that both Chelsea and Arsenal have held talks with his reps and they are doing due diligence on the striker. So perhaps if a move to Barca does not occur, then they might be there in the wings ready to pounce.

It doesn’t look very likely that Alvarez will end up anywhere near Chelsea though.
