NAC Breda beat Volendam 1-0 at the Rat Verlegh Stadion on Saturday, with substitutes Pepijn Reulen and Raul Paula combining late to clinch back-to-back Eredivisie wins while the hosts remain in the relegation play-offs.

In the 40th minute, Boy Kemper forced Kayne van Oevelen into a save from a tight angle as the hosts pushed before the break.

After the restart, Daniel Bielica kept NAC level, stopping Benjamin Pauwels from the left (52.).

Carl Hoefkens turned to his bench and it paid off. Paula led a break and slipped Reulen through to finish low into the bottom left (87.).

A brief first half stoppage saw Van Oevelen receive treatment before play resumed.

NAC registered 17 attempts, three on target. Volendam managed eight attempts, one on target.

Next, NAC Breda visit Telstar. Volendam host Groningen.
