One of the biggest talking points of the recent El Clasico was how Lamine Yamal’s pre-game comments riled up the Real Madrid dressing room and, to an extent, fired them towards the win against Barcelona.
The players, after all, were furious with the youngster’s accusations of Real Madrid being favoured by the referees and used it as fuel to push harder towards a win.
After securing the win, Los Blancos’ captain Dani Carvajal openly gestured towards the Barcelona youngster, telling him that he talks too much. And while the veteran’s action is only understandable, the development did not leave the national team offices comfortable.

With the FIFA World Cup rapidly approaching, the Spanish national team requires unity now more than ever and the recent rift between Carvajal and Yamal was thus taken with a pinch of salt.
As relayed by Cadena SER now, however, the RFEF do not see any conflict big enough to affect the national team dynamics at the moment. Despite them being two of the team’s most important players, they feel there is no need to interfere.
Luis de la Fuente considers both Carvajal and Yamal two great professionals and good people and thus trusts that what happened on the field will stay on the field and not extend to a personal level.
It remains to be seen if any representative from the RFEF talks to both players to mediate a truce in the coming days, but given that they see the national team dynamics unaltered, it is unlikely as it stands.
Both Carvajal and Yamal were absent from the manager’s previous list owing to fitness setbacks and will hope for a call-up for the upcoming international break.
While they are rivals at the club level, both players have worked well in tandem and even played a big part in Spain’s recent Euro win with the Barcelona youngster assisting Carvajal’s only goal for the national team.
