The club said in a statement that Richard Declaude had been appointed chief executive on Friday. He joins from Rennes, where he previously worked with current president Olivier Cloarec.

Olivier Cloarec was named president last summer, replacing Damien Comolli who left for Juventus. Viktor Bezhani, formerly head of recruitment, was promoted to sporting director.

The chief executive position had been vacant since December 2023 following the departure of Olivier Jaubert.

Declaude, 52, spent seven years at Stade Rennais. He served as commercial director then deputy general manager in charge of business.

He has been hired to continue the club’s structuring and to support its economic and organisational development.
