Andrada becomes River’s seventh addition of the winter. If no issues arise, this is set to be their final move of the window.

The Argentina Under-20 midfielder leaves Vélez after 36 appearances, with three goals and one assist. He has played at the base of midfield, alongside the holding player, and on the right. Vélez coach Guillermo Barros Schelotto has tipped him for a future in Europe, citing his physique and long stride.

Eduardo Coudet has asked for more incision following Juan Fernando Quintero’s exit, and Andrada is among those expected to supply it. River have spent heavily to arrest a poor run, their last trophy came in March 2024.

They opened the Clausura 2026 with defeats to Barracas Central at home and away to Gimnasia La Plata. This window has also brought Nicolás Otamendi, Ángel Correa, Rafael Santos Borré, Lucas Beltrán, Giovanni González and Mauro Arambarri.
