Speaking at a press conference attended by Get French Football News, Marseille boss Roberto De Zerbi has reiterated his desire to build a long-term project at the club, and stay beyond the three years that he signed on at the club in the summer of 2024. “I still see myself here in the long term,” De Zerbi said on Thursday afternoon. “I would like to go beyond three years and be one of the most influential coaches here.”“I feel good here, even amid the criticism and the commotion. I don’t get offended – a lot of the criticism is made in bad faith,” added the former Brighton & Hove Albion coach. De Zerbi added that his future depends on the alignment of all parties, but his intention is clear. “I want to stay here for a long time if everyone is happy. It’s a privilege to work here.”Les Olympiens travel to face Lille this weekend in Ligue 1, before a key Champions League clash just across the French border to face Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise. OM currently sit third in the Ligue 1 table, after passing up an opportunity to go top of the league with a 2-2 draw at home to Toulouse last weekend. Lens currently edge the standings, with PSG sat in second just one point behind.GFFN | George Boxall – reporting form Marseille.
