Italy’s squad for the upcoming international break was announced this afternoon, with Roberto Mancini calling up 38 players for the three World Cup qualifying fixtures against Northern Ireland, Bulgaria and Lithuania. The matches will be played on March 25, 28 and 31 respectively.
The squad features a first call-up for Atalanta defender Rafael Tolói, who was recently made eligible to represent his adopted country, switching from his native Brazil.
Call-ups for the Inter players, as well as Spezia’s Matteo Ricci, are subject to the measures put in place by local health authorities, with the Nerazzurri suspending first-team activities as of yesterday in the midst of what appears to be a Covid-19 outbreak in the squad.
