Roma will pay €25 million for 50% of the 19-year-old midfielder's economic rights, with a further two million euros possible in performance-related add-ons.

The Italians can later buy the remaining 50% for another €25 million, while Porto hold an equivalent sale option, which makes the full purchase obligatory.

If Roma do not take all of the rights, Porto can opt to sell the lot to secure at least €50 million, or retain a percentage to benefit from any future sale at a higher value.

Porto will pay 10% of the transaction value in intermediation fees.
