According to O Jogo, Porto and Roma have a principle agreement for Rodrigo Mora, structured to total €50 million, although paperwork is still pending. Roma would acquire 50 percent of his economic rights immediately for €25 million, with an option to buy the remainder for another €25 million and Porto retaining a matching sell option. Roma are also offering a net salary of €2 million per year and intend to set a €120 million release clause.
The midfielder continues to train under Farioli while he waits for documents to be signed before travelling to Italy.
Because both clubs could exercise the second-phase options, the mechanism effectively obliges a full sale if either side acts, taking the overall fee to €50 million.
The set-up echoes the deal that brought Nehuén Pérez to the Dragão, initially on loan, which included a €13.3 million clause exercisable by either club in agreement with Udinese. A similar either-side option featured in the Arsenal agreement for Kiwior at €17 million.
The move is not yet closed, but the structure would deliver Porto’s target valuation, with the first tranche due up front.
