Rodrigo Mora is expected in Rome on Tuesday afternoon, arriving at Rome Ciampino before first contact with Roma staff at around 15:30, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

He will then undergo medical tests before signing his contract. Before travelling he visited Olival, said goodbye to team-mates and collected personal items, and did not train under Francesco Farioli.

The move is not yet closed, though a preliminary agreement is in place that would see Porto collect the targeted €50 million, not all up front.

Paperwork being exchanged sets out an immediate €25 million payment for 50% of Mora’s economic rights. Roma hold an option to buy the remaining 50% for another €25 million, while Porto retain a sell option for the same amount, with no sporting conditions attached.

Final figures will be confirmed later due to any percentages and commissions, but it is certain Mora will deliver the largest capital gain in Porto’s history. As a homegrown player, there was no transfer outlay, so the net should be close to €50 million, surpassing €39.6 million for Otávio, €35.5 million for Vitinha and €34.9 million for Galeno.
