The final design for the new Pietralata stadium is now just a matter of days away.

There’s no official date yet, but the timeframe is clear: between the first and second weeks of December.

This is a slight delay compared to the initial forecast, due to final discussions between Rome and the Capitoline Hill to finalize the details of the agreement that will govern every aspect of the relationship between the parties.

On this very front, according to Il Messaggero, a decisive turning point arrived yesterday. The two organizations have reportedly reached a basic agreement on all key unresolved issues, laying the foundation for the final design.

While nothing official has been confirmed, the agreement’s outlines are clear. One of the key issues concerns penalties.

They will only be applied in the event of delays in public works—such as bridges and parking lots—while the stadium will remain exempt from this mechanism.

Roma will assume the business risk for the stadium: the club will begin paying the annual fee from a set date, regardless of the progress of the work, even if the facility is not yet operational.

The ownership structure has also been finalized. Roma will establish a company dedicated to construction and, subsequently, a second entity to manage the stadium.

At the request of the Capitoline Hill, the latter must be directly linked to the Friedkin family.

Finally, some positive news comes from the legal front. The Municipality has won a civil suit against one of the plaintiffs, and the former squatter of the Pietralata land will now have to pay nearly €21,000.
