Artem Dovbyk has failed to prove his worth in the capital.

The time has come for him to move on, and a return to Spain is the most likely option.

The Ukrainian arrived at Roma in the summer of 2024 after a head-to-head with Atlético Madrid.

Born in 1997, the 20-year-old was coming off a season in which he won the Pichichi de La Liga with Girona.

Roma turned to Alexander Sorloth, and now they could make another move for the Giallorossi striker to replace the Norwegian.

Sorloth is reportedly on his way out of Atletico Madrid and could join Serie A. The Norwegian striker has been targeted by Juventus, who are hoping to close the deal.

As reported by Fichajes.net, “Cholo” Simeone’s team has made an attempt to replace their center forward with Dovbyk.

Rojiblancos reportedly submitted an offer of €20 million to Roma, but the Roman club was forced to decline.

The player’s value is worth €25 million, and the two clubs will have to negotiate a similar figure. The Friedkins want to avoid a capital loss, but the departure of the number 9 will happen.
