Rony has revealed he held talks with Corinthians before signing for Santos, after finding himself short of opportunities at Atlético-MG.

He joined Santos for three million euros and signed through December 2028, arriving as a replacement for Guilherme after the winger’s move to MLS. He has one goal in 24 appearances for the club.

In the Paulistão he scored against Noroeste and supplied an assist in the rout of Velo Clube across four outings. He has featured 15 times in the Brasileirão, with four appearances in the Sudamericana and one in the Copa do Brasil.

Ronielson da Silva Barbosa, 31, is from Magalhães Barata, Pará. He came through Remo’s academy and debuted professionally in March 2014, then moved permanently to Cruzeiro with a loan at Náutico. A spell at Albirex Niigata in Japan preceded returns to Athletico-PR and Palmeiras, where he won multiple titles from 2020 to 2024 and recorded 70 goals and 36 assists in 284 games.

He joined Atlético-MG in March last year, registering 14 goals and six assists in 65 appearances up to the start of this year. In 2023 he earned a Brazil debut in a friendly against Morocco.
